Here a few pics i took last saturday, on a ride organised by the Triumph dealership. Everything from Ducs, Aperilla, and all inds of Triumph. The ride was slowed down by a new rider going down, 20 minutes into it. He had an 04 Triple, been riding for 3 weeks, and to make it worse, I had a chat with him before we left, told him to ride slow, learn the bike, and respect the triple. well....it jumped up and bit him in the arse. To make it worse, he wasn't wearing a jacket. Sad lesson to learn, the hard way.
Anyway, on my bike you will see the new body part I have fitted, it looks great, but when the suspension bottoms out, it scrapes on the road. It is alos very susceptible to stone chips. The whole thing took some modification. Aparently, the belly pan, was closed to colect oil, on race bikes. This I didn't know. This caused two problems, 1) when I got caught in the rain, I had a big puddle in it three days later, so I dremelled a hole in the bottomw, 2) because it was designed for a race Triple, there was no accounting for the kickstand. So I eneded up having to dremel a notch out for that. The down side to this.....I had already had the whole thing painted and clear coated....Bugger! It turned out pretty good though. Another change I made was to the air scoops in it. As some of you will know, you can buy the grills for the air scoops in the side panels on the triple, from a french website. I bought them myself. To tie it all in, I went to bed bath and beyond, bought a $10 trash can, cut out pieces to fit, and cemented it to the inside of the belly pan. Not bad i think, I also put the grills on my heel guards.
Anyway, a long day of riding, some great roads, and 373 miles. What more can you ask of a saturday? Hope you all like the mods I made. I will say, my bike definitely stands out more than ever now, and looks different to the other two triples who ride in our group. Honest opinions please guys.

This last one is what I like to see. Nothing but European bikes.

Ya definitely got one o' the nicest lookin' Triples around.

A lotta people don't like group rides, but I enjoy it. They _can_ get competitive an' you gotta watch out for that. It's easy to git caught up in the speed an' the thrill an' git over yer head. If we have a few go-fast guys, we'll split into two groups. Fortunately, everybody's made it safe so far, but on one ride we were on, I saw a guy on a brand new Daytona go into a corner and get freaked out - straightened it up an' ended up off the road on the other side. Live an' learn - the key word bein' "live."

Hey Satansk9,

that is one of the best looking triples around. Congratulations. It's always immaculate too.

I think it looks better without the rim stripes, sort of nastier.
You asked for opinions.....the mesh inserts look great, the mirrors I really like, but I'm not sure about the belly pan. Not naked enough for me, but thats just my taste.

Are they Rizoma mirrors, and do they give you a better view behind than the stockers.

My impressions from the few photos is that Arizona has lots of flat straight roads....is that a fair assumption?

Satan, big respect for the immaculate bike, one of the best IMO. Always loved to see it. For me, the belly pan looks wrong. But that is just me. I love the screen, most people hate it which is fine. If YOU like it keep it and fuuck the rest of em!
