Wondering if any of you southern folk can help me on this one.Do the police in the southern states do roadside noise and pollution tests?Debating whether to put my modified stock cans back on for our upcoming trip to your fine part of the country or to go with the Bucket special shorty can which isn't overly loud but not certain about the pollution side of this fine piece of qaulity engineering.Do they and are they stringent with these tests.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, ride on. :hammer:

Hey Bucket,

They do sometimes pull you for loud cans, but I've only ever heard of warnings, because they have no real way to measure it unless they bring the EPA with them with a decibel meter.

There is news about this here. Motorcycle Council

If it was me, I wouldn't worry, leave your noisy ones on.

Mick

Thanks for that Miker, would rather leave stumpy on as it's given it more torque and it handles better in corners, wierd. Will let you know dates of our trip and track day date at Oran Park, might be able to catch up.Think we're staying at the Picton pub the night before and after the trackie. :hammer:

Hey Bucket,

The EPA have been known to do noise testing on the odd occasion but you would have to be real stiff to get done. I had a Madaz pipe on my ZX12R which was pretty loud and nobody ever took any notice. Even cops who pulled me over for wahtever reason never mentioned the pipe.

I have never heard of any pollution testing in Victoria.

Major tip....never go speeding past any late model cars parked on the side of the road........
