I see the excellent thread re customised set of 3 blanking plates.

One question - is a blanking plate required for the airbox when the Solenoid is removed?

If so, I presume it's easy to make one up.

(I'm going by memory here and assuming a hole will be left in the airbox if the SAI solenoid is removed - I could be totally wrong).

No, the airbox just needs a simple plug/bolt/whatever fits.

Same for the reed valve covers that sit on the cam cover. If you want a bit cleaner install and want to get rid of the 3 tiny plastic penises, then you need to fabricate or purchase blanking plates for the camcover.

Ah got it Martin - the thread re blanking showing pictures was of an old speedy, not a 1050 version.
