Have any of you guys installed some aftermarket headlights on your Speed Triple? Was it easy to do, are you happy with the results, etc?

I'm not looking for the single headlight conversion (UGH!) as much as I am looking for an aftermarket dual beam set-up.

Something like the LSL MIG's or the PIAA 005, 1100X, or P1000C.

I am looking to make the bike look just a little different and meaner, something similar to the headlight setup on the Confederate Hellcat if you've seen that.......I have a pic, but gotta set up a photo bucket account or something so I can post it....

Thanks,
JOHN

henry, go to page 14 on the pic thread and scroll 'bout halfway down to Tinwoods pics. As for what he had to say about them, just to save ya a little time...

Tinwoods said: "Thanks for the nod on my mods. Ironically enough, the headlights were the easiest thing to install. The Mad Doctor undertail, the Zard, and even the instrument relocator bracket all presented some problems, but the lights were easy. Pretty much just bolt on and plug in once you spliced on some new connectors to the leads coming from the bike. Just make sure you get the right-sized fork brackets. Take a look at your forks, there is nothing uniform about the circumferences. Mine are the M.I.G. lights from Spiegler out of Ohio. Love the Pazzo levers, too. Off the track I use CRG 2" bar-end mirrors. I just wish I could find someone who still made billet aluminum master brake cylinders -- that plastic is so ugly. Good luck on your own mods. "

Hey CB,

I actually really do like the look of those MIG lights. I spoke to the guy who owns that bike and he helped me out quite a bit.

Just like me, he wished they would both operate all the time regardless of if they are on Low and/or High Beam.....

Any other unique set-ups out there?

JOHN
