I had a mishap the other night...

I have the lazy speedometer problem (despite brand new Yuasa). Usually, I just key off/on during decel about a mile into each ride. On Wednesday I did this at a higher rate of speed in an area I wasn't familiar with, and ended up in a turn while screwing around with the ignition switch. I took a little excursion into the grass and went down. I was alright (thats why there is gear), and the bike was rideable.

Damage:
rear brake pedal
passenger peg mount
bent handlebar
scratched paint
dented radiator tank (no leaks)
one broken signal

Questions:
Is there good availability of parts for some of these parts, or am I better off sucking it up at the stealership? eBay supply seemed thin.

Has anyone replaced a S3 bar with aftermarket? I don't want my controls to hit the tank once its repainted.

Do I need to be careful selecting a painter for the tank? It looks likes its made out of sheet molding compound (SMC), which I have never painted.

What are my chances getting someone to replicate Roulette Green? Should I just cave and choose a new color?

Is there a source for replacement decels to go between a base/clear paint?

Thanks!

- Matt

sorry to hear about your mishap man, but glad to hear you're alright. Ebay is kinda scarce on speedy parts, ya just have to keep an eye on it and catch it at the right time. As far as paint goes, I might can be of a little assistance with paint codes... :???: Here's a link to the Triumph paint codes...

Any painter worth his air brush can match paint colors. There is one internet parts source for slightly discounted OE Triumph parts but i don't have the bookmark on this computer. Maybe someone else will post it or I will add it tomorrow. Some things like the dented rad are better just left as character marks.
