I went for a rip last night after dinner, before work. Man my Stella runs good when the air is cool, major, noticeable difference. Anyway, at a four way stop about 5 miles from the end of the fun, i decided to try (again) to see what is the best way to get a good launch off the line. Drag racing a bike has always been a dream of mine. So i put my feet back, leaned as far over , and as close to the tank as i could get, held about 5500 rpm and slipped the clutch, fast and controlled, not a pop. Man, i could NOT hold the front down. When she started to roll i feed in more throttle. It just kept popping up, like 4 times 2-3 feet at a time. Finally got it under control and away we go. It would have looked really cool , had i not been running along side of it, just kidding but you get the idea. So boys, lets here your secrets, how do YOU do it? If der shpeedy was'nt so tall i think it would be easier. What ya think?

that's the fun part of a launch itchin, screw the 60' time, just have fun with that wheel hang'n up in the air! :-D Honestly, I've never been great at launching a bike. Once they come up, I figure what the hell, let's ride this out! :-D
btw, a article I read in motorcyclist mag says da man Ricky Gadson says hold your revs at peak torque, then launch her. Takes a talented one indeed to get a good launch on a bike, don't think I'll ever get there! :hammer:

Strap a couple o' these to the forks, just above the front fender. That'll keep 'er down.

Imagine what happens if the clutch cable snaps :-D That's known to happen every now and then. It would be a launch indeed :-D
