Hello people with Speed Triples.

I own a Speed Four...No wait, please hear me out..

I have bought some of those lovely sporty looking Pazzo's courtesy of MOTO WORLD ONLINE (Thank you FalcoLion) and was surprised at how easy they were to fit...at first. Got the brake lever on, no problem, and my new found confidence at mechanical modification reached an all time high. Spent a bit longer fitting the clutch. Lots of pulling and pinched fingers until I unattached the cable at the engine end, and then on it went, and lovely it did look. But... I didn't realise I had to fit a 'bush' into the hole in the lever for the pivot bolt to sit in (although on reading the fitting instructions properly this info was indeed included). Did anyone who has pazzo's get this part with their levers, if not from where did you purchase it, if indeed you needed one for the bigger bikes you own. I tried removing the one in my std lever but to no avail. I have phoned my dealer but there is no seperate part available.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

The bushing is on the stock levers - just remove it and install on the Pazzos. At least it is on the stock Triple levers. Contact a parts breaker and get ones from a Triple or Daytona if your stock ones are not correct. They can't cost much.

I hope this helps.

Cheers Devious,

In that case I shall have to buy a correctly sized punch and do it properly.

Yep - the bushing (as noted in the instructions) slid right out of my stock clutch lever and into the Pazzo lever.

Side note: Forgetting the Golden Rule ("READ THE INSTRUCTIONS"), I just unbolted the old clutch lever and then went through much wrangling and consternation getting the cable out of the old lever and into the new, in the process fraying one of the precious strands of cable.

The instructions (in the Super Secret PDF Technical Manual) clearly state that you should undo the cable at the transmission end first.

DUH :hammer:

New cable on the way.

I didn't really have any trouble with my cable, and I didn't undo it at the transmission.

I removed the pivot bolt, then pulled the lever to where the cable was stright with the exit slot on the lever (like we all did).

Then I pulled it to release it from the adjusting nut slot. I did have to turn my adjustment nut a slight bit to get the exit groove lined up with the mount.

It came out pretty easy after that.

I had no problem with my Cables either.... I did forget the bushing and had to take it apart and install it once I notice the play in the lever.
