New to Triumphs, had bunches of other bikes. Looking at a '01 S3 bone stock, 6k miles for $5k. Just did test ride and I am looking at putting an offer on it. Wanted to consult the board first.
1. Price? Deal or no deal?
2. Is '01 a good year or were there substantial changes in '02 or '03 that I should wait and try to find one of those? What are the differences from '01 to '02', '03, '04??
3. I gotta get a pipe, or at least a slip on. I am in the US and I do not want to spend $1500 on a system, but I want a good deep growl and great response. Once pipe or slip on is installed, do I have to go to a Triumph dealer to update the mapping or is it better to get a PowerCmdr and do it myself?
