Greetings to all! I recently joined your proud ranks as the owner of a shiny new 2006 and thought I'd say "hello, " as this seems like the best Triumph site I've come across. I made the drive up to Chattanooga (great dealership btw)where they had two beautiful Speedys for my choosing...one a beautiful blonde, the other a plain-Jane brunette. Being a man of highly refined tastes, I of course rode out on the blonde (got a thing for blondes, ya know).

Now, I see there seems to be a bit of friction between owners of the different hues, so please let me assure you, I am not here to offend. Honestly, if black bikes are your thing...along with the flying tassels, assless chaps and short leather vests that undoubtedly come along with that lifestyle choice, far be it from me to judge. "Live and let live" has always been my motto. :upthumb: So, ride on my Triumph brothers!!!

I'd have some pictures for you, but my digi camera recently decided to take a swim. She's pretty stock now though, with the exception of CRG mirrors, flyscreen, and a silly sounding horn. Hopefully have some coming shortly.

Now, I'm no stranger to Triumphs. As you can see, I've got a Bonnie in the garage. But I've spent most of the recent years on a feisty little SV and owned a number of other Japanese bikes in the past. Loved em all, but can safely say the new Trumpet's the best yet. But then, y'all already knew that dintcha? ;-)
Cheers,

--Reverend

The color is respectfully called "Puke Gold". It's a term of endearment.

Blonde sounds like a light beer, and since it is faster than the rest (read black), we can't have a bunch of blonde jokes on our hands now.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the gathering Preacher! Can't wait to see what CheapB has to say about your choice of color. I think a lot of Speed Triples are bought without the owner having a choice of colors unless they ordered the bike. You actually chose not to get the black one!

For some odd reason, most of the fellas on here tend to believe that black is the only color made!?! :hammer: Us pukers know that they don't stand a chance though! :-D Enjoy your new speedy, and bring your ass up here and ride with us at the end of this month. Atlanta ain't all that far! :-D
