Hey guys,
I posted a topic earlier asking what resevoir was under the seat because mine was bone dry and I don't have a manual. I guess people were confused about which one I meant and I found out that it wasn't the rear brake res. AFTER I came in from pouring DOT4 in there.

I syphoned most, 7/8th of it if not all, of it out and now the resevoir is bone dry again so I don't think much of it went into the lines. I took the bike around the block though because I thought it was the brakes and then put it in the shed.

Is this going to kill my beloved Speedy? Is there anything I can do? Can anyone give me some instructions on how to drain and then fill the coolant?

PLEASE HELP

Drain the coolant flush with a cleaner and refill. Go to a MC
shop an buy new coolant. the 05-06 SM says it uses ethylene
base coolant so it maybe OK but I would change it. send me
your E-mail by PM. There is an other site www.t595.net
they may have a pdf. Use the "search" at the bottom of the
page.

Flush your system and refill with COOLANT. When that's done put child safety locks on every fluid reservoir on your bike so that you won't have anymore mishaps. If that doesn't work sell the Speedy and buy a Harley... They're air-cooled and leak fluids so fast that you wouldn't have had to worry about flushing. How big did you think the rear brake reservoir would be? 1 rotor... 1 caliper... Maybe you should just sell the bike and get a sewing machine. JUST MESSING WITH YOU, once you flush and refill you should be all set. :-D :-D :-D

Ehh, Mess away.
I feel like a dumbass, probably because I am. But this is the first bike I've owned and don't have a manual for it so I'm pretty much learning as I go along. I went on some bad advice from an earlier post.

Can anyone send intstructions to flush the coolant system on a 2001 speedy? I don't need to make any more mistakes.

Nope, still didn't get it.
I don't know why it won't go through.

Is there another way for you to send it? We can do it through AIM if you have it. I can't thank you enough for trying.

My PDF of the 2002-2004 S3 is about 22 megs. That's way too big for most email systems. Someone either needs to burn it onto a disk for you and mail it, find it already posted on a website where you can download it, or have someone put it on an ftp site for download.

Here'sthe link to the manual download on the t595.net site:
http://www.t595.net/kb/technical/article.asp?id=12

But you have to be a premier member to download it, which is almost $18 (if I converted the right currency). Still worth it if you can't find someone else to get it to you.

f1eric sent me a link to the 1050 manual download page. Thank you so much.

Are the 955i and 1050 engines similar enough that I can use that manual for my 955?
