Bloody mess on our roads here for labor day. Three older women rider wiped out by a cage, middle of the afternoon, broad daylight. How many people are gonna blame the motorcyclists?

Here's the Official Report: "A four-vehicle crash involving three motorcycles and a car resulted in the death of a 61-year-old woman, along with critical and serious injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash at 12:20 p.m. Sunday at U.S. Highway 98 in Wakulla County, nine miles north of Panacea. Crawfordville resident Brenda Qualls, 49, was headed north on U.S. Highway 98. According to the report, Qualls drove in the center lane and, one by one, struck three motorcyclists: Pamela Lafoe, 53, of Floral City; Kathleen Dolan, 52, of Brooksville; and Sharon Reid, 61, of Inglis, who died during the crash. Lafoe and Dolan were listed in critical condition and flown to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Qualls was listed in serious condition and also was flown to TMH. Reid was pronounced dead at the scene."

Yet another argument for "involuntary euthanasia"... by means of firearm... in the back of the head.

The cager will probably claim that she forgot to take her meds that morning and she'll get a slap on the wrists.

Like I said Florida has to be the worst state for motorcycle riding. One person I know owns a bike that he leaves in OH for this reason. Keep us posted on her court results.

Court results - if she lives. As fate would have it, the cage driver had to be airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

I have a few contacts with the cruiser contingent around here, so I'm hoping to find out more details.

It may even have been that the cager had a heart attack at the wheel. It does sometimes happen.
So sad about the death and injuries on a sunday ride.
