Is it just me or are the high beams useless? My low beams are great and I would not want to point them any lower but when I click on the high beams they are way too high.

Small world.....I just came in the house after adjusting mine. We have plenty of trophy size white tailed deer in these parts and it's coming on that time of year when they start moving a lot at night.

Although the low beams have great intensity, I thought they were set too low. High beams seemed OK, but not as good as others considering there are 2 of them.

Vertical adjustment improved the low beams very slightly, but ruined the high beam. So back to square one I guess.

Get different lights. Hella, Cibie, and Adjure are all significant improvements. No need to go HID in my opinion.

Hey I was reading your post regarding the headlights on the Speed Triple and I completely agree. I tried the Adjure Ice headlamps and while they were somewhat of an improvement they still suffer from the stock problem of if the low beams are set right the high beams are too high, I finally tried Hella headlamps P/N: 71456, these headlamps were a significant improvement over stock and give a really good beam pattern on either high or low beam. They run about $60.00 U.S. each but in my opinion are worth it.

Rhanks for the tip. Hella 71456 for $46 here.

Wow, I was thinking that the headlights, both low and high beam are some of the best I've had since my '96 VW Jetta.

My current vehicle and my Daytona have the newer projector style headlights and although they lay down a specific lighting pattern they arent nearly as bright as the older conventional style of lights I was used to in my older cars, the S3 has been great for me, especially the high-beams, very bright and can see for yards.

Exactly what I have. Took me a while to find them though.

So does one need to purchase the entire kit or can you get similar performance by just buying the replacement bulb? I have tweaked my headlight adjustment and found a happy medium that I think will work out well, but when it comes time for replacement I'd definately be interested in the Hellas.
