exhaust pipe help - '02

Does anyone know if a pipe from a 99-00 s3 will fit (or be able to be modified to) my '02 s3? Also, i bought a daytona pipe "by accident" - price was right so i grabbed it. Does anyone have any idea if that can be modified to fit? the mouth is too wide for my s3. Does anyone make anything that can get it together?

The mid-pipe for a pre-02 is a different shape, or takes a different path, than for the post- '02 models. In '02, the mid-pipe design was meant to account for the presence of a double-sided swing-arm (even though the S3 kept the SSSA), so it has a lot of clearance from the swing-arm than for the older models. You might have to look at it to see what I mean, but it has a ton of clearance. If you call most companies, they'll probably send you the mid-pipe if you already have the stinger in hand. If I may ask, what is the p/n (marked on side of can) of that Daytona pipe, which as I understand it, you have for "2002" Daytona 955i, instead of an S3 of the same model year?
