And that needs to be done with a Tuneboy, or by a service center. There is nothing a PowerCommander can do about it.

secondary air injection is simply another plauge within emissions standards...

its really quite rediculous and i personally find it useless...

nice over ride
Plauge? It helps to burn extra fuel from going out the tailpipe. That means the factory can run the engines richer for more power in stock tune. Seems good to me...

I don't know the regulations. Some places test the exhaust , some check for the equipment. I have not lived in a state that does these things yet.

The SAI system weighs 13 ounces.

I took mine off today and weighed it.

Liberates a bit more room though.

A question for the boys who have taken the SAI off. What is the internal diameter of the whole in the end of the air intake pipe? I'd like to just bumg the hole rather than take all of the SAI off.

I ran a non SAI tune with my Zard no baffle and SAI in place. It ran well but I got loads of back fires (flames too) but strangely no errors.

SAI Blanking plates and airbox plug

Hi,

I've decided to remove the SAI from my 05 daytona engine in order to use the Massive tunes.

Read this really useful thread - Thanks

Couple of questions...

Where do you get the blanking plates from? The ones you painted sexy blue?

Also where did you get the airbox plug from?

Did you just leave the SAI harness connectors hanging in the breeze?

Thanks in advance

As I live in Massachusetts, a near police state when it comes to inspection, I kept the plumbing on. My solution was to plug the hose at the air box. Works great and I can reverse it easy for inspection if needed. Great post. Thanks!
