So...I have A 2006 S3 but I want to make it MY 2006 S3. I don't want to pimp it out or put on a lot of bling. I don't think that's what the S3 was made for and at 51 I'm a little old for that anytway. However, a smattering of CF would look nice. I searched around and found Shift-tech.com. They had exactly what I wanted...CF chainguard to replace the stock plactic one, CF countershaft sprocket cover to replace the stock plastic one, CF hugger to keep the crud off the shock, and CF shrouds to replace the aluminum ones at both sides of the radiator. I ordered the stuff over the internet and told them I was a member of Triumphrat.net. That got me a 10% discount. Shipping was next to nothing.
The CF arrived a few days later. I'm no CF expert but the stuff looks really good to me. The CF weave is consistant throughout, there are no bubbles in the finish, both sides were finshed (unlike some crappy car stuff I've seen), and the fit was spot on. The holes lined up perfectly and I had it all on in short order.
To the untrained eye I have just another S3 but to those who know what to look for I have a Hooligan bike with a few of the rough edges rubbed smooth...perfect!

The price of CF has gone down 200% over the last four years, but somehow the prices for components made out of the stuff is still increasing... %T@&#*(%&)#

Glad you like the parts, always a pleasure providing quality customers with quality parts at reasonable prices.

Yes the actual carbon cost has doubled over the last year, Boeing and the Military is buying like crazy as well as the Chinese. I would wish it would be otherwise.
