So Friday morning I set off nice and early to meet some guys on the Gold Coast for a ride down to Port Macquarie. 10 bikes in all, 2 S3's, 2 Sprints, a Thruxton, 2 Bonnevilles, a BMW, Duc Monster and a Suzi V Strom. We went the scenic twisty route, Woodenbong, Casino, Ebor, Dorrigo and then onto Port Macquarie. Some of the riding was pretty "spirited" to say the least. 900 K's later we arrived. There were 200 Triumphs on site and a great site it was too. Friday night there was a barbie on and way too much beer was drunk. Saturday Morning was a custom show and I won best Speed Triple!! Saturday afternoon was a ride out to Comboyne which is apparently 177 bends in 50 kilometres. I got stuck behind a Rocket 3 which was grinding everything with sparks flying everywhere and firing stones up every time I tried to pass. They don't handle to good!! I eventually got past him and me and Welshrob on a Sprint ST smoked em all and got to Comboyne ahead of the field. When I got there I saw that my headlight was smashed and Welshrob had a bit of paintwork damage. Oh well, not to worry. There was a meal on the Saturday night and I got a pair of bike boots presented for the "Best Speed Triple" award. Sunday morning was an early start and we went on the Oxley Highway to Walcha. This is, without doubt, the best road I have ever riden. Technical and very twisty to start with but perfectly surfaced, then wide open very fast across the top of the hills. I got the fuel light on at 133 kilometres which is my lowest ever. Worth it though  We then went Armidale, Glen Innes and Tenterfield back home. I eventually got home with 1,887.4 Kilometres on the clock. Big weekend with great people on a top bike. Can't wait for next years event.

Congratulations on best s3. Sounds like it was a great weekend and am sorry I missed it. I'm only about an hour away from Port Macquarie. I'm looking forward to Coffs Harbour though. It will be great to see some other s3's as I don't see any on the road.
