I e-mailed Corbin and they told me that they have something for my 02 S3 but they didn't tell me which saddle would work. From the looks of the seat for the 01, I don't think it'll work with the seat cowl. It looks like the rear of the seat is too high and will interfere with the pad on the front of the cowl. I think I'm going to take mine to a local upholstery shop and see what they can do.

I have had a Corbin on my prevoius 2 F4is, so I decided to get one on the S3 also. After 980 miles last weekend, my ass was complaining a little...
Corbin doesn't have anything for the 02 S3. I was there this tuesday on a ride-in appointment to get a new saddle made for my 03 S3. They used the stock seat pan. They replaced the stock seat foam with their own foam, after asking me to sit on the bike, how I ride, what I want (not to be sliding into the tank during braking, more comfort).
I asked them to shave it off a little so that when I add the suspension link adjuster to raise the rear height, I am not on tip-toes. No problem, said the tech. and he did just that. Next, they fixed up the foam on the seat and asked me to go for a ride. I came back, and told them that the seat cuts a bit in the sides when I hang off and he took care of that. I did another ride around, did a sudden stop from 50mph to confirm that the sliding is now reduced.
The tech. then wrapped it up in nice shiny carbon fiber looking leather cover. I like
I promptly did a 200 mile ride - no problems what so ever. The reduced height makes me feel as if I am riding in the bike against the previous feeling of riding "on" the bike. I like it this way.
Overall, since they didn't have a pan already, and had to use my stock pan (along with a custom fit), it took about 5 hours for the seat to be done. It set me back $260 including tax.
One thing to remember about Corbin seats is that it takes atleast 1500 miles to break in and mould to the rider's form. They will feel a bit harder.
If you live in the SF bay area, I highly recommend going to their factory to get a custom seat made. Another incentive is that breakfast in their "Wizard's cafe" is FREE for 2 when you do a ride in. You can also do a factory tour.
