Not had any problems on my s3 but my Tiger was a nightmare!
Had pads and discs changed but it made no difference they still squeaked. It got so bad i changed my braking technique, letting the brake off just before stopping then pulling it back on!
As usual Triumph denied any knowledge of the problem.

mine did the same thing before my caliper swap. Just one of the many reasons to ditch the Nissins.

Hey cheap- swap me yours!
I don't have the cash for new calipers. Will this fade?

This has worked for me on all my bikes and cars.

Remove pads. Take a file (or an angle grinder if you're brave) and file a 45 degree champfer off the edges of the pad material. Clean up the insides of the calipers while the pads are out and put them back in.

This method can also stop the clicking some of us get.

If you're rotors are all shiny and glazed, this will also cause a squeal, so take a piece of fine emery and scuff the rotor up a little, taking care not to make it too rough.

Mick

A VERY THIN smear of high melting point or copper grease on the BACK part of the pads + what Miker said.
WHen you fit new pads, treat 'em gently till they get run in, otherwise squeeling most probably gets included free with the deal.

On the metal part of the pad that contacts the caliper pistons. Grease will melt with heat and you DO NOT want any on the pads or disk, so just a little smear. It will act as a damper and hopefully prevent vibes and squeals.
