I think rubber costs about as much as gas with these pilot powers.

These bikes are performance machines. If I get 4,000 out of my rear tire, I'll be happy.

Weight and tire pressure has quite an effect also, I weigh 160 lbs.
I have over 5000 miles on mine and a track day, I am "Just" getting ready to change.
Waiting on the Pirelli shipment.

Most of the time I ride at a moderate level.
The hardest wear I saw was from interstate riding 70 miles at 110+ mph.

I must be more of a wuss that I realize as well as somewhat delusional as to my skills because I have 9000 miles on mine and they still arent ready for changin.

I havent done any track days with my S3 as of yet but I ride the piss outta her every day it aint raining. I'm not a rev limiter seeker but there are regular and frequent visits to the 9k area. My fastest speed on the clock is listed as 147 mph, I'd admit to not haulin' a@@ all the time as I am on public roads.

I'm about 250lbs and 6'4" (not a lardass but big non-the-less). My riding sessions last at least 3 hours a pop. I even have a plug in my rear that has been there since May 2005.

Since getting my Daytona I've kept the S3 to the urban/suburban environment and off the highway and I've noticed my profile as started to 'square' as I've been hitting fewer speedy corners that prompt you lean 'er over more. There is still tread on the rear and it seems as if I forsee no problems finishing out this season on these original tires.

I dont believe in burnouts with my own bike as rubber costs money so I certainly done impose premature wear.

Darn, maybe I need to find new riding partners who can show me the light. Lets not even begin talking about the fronts...

I'm looking at my fourth tyre within the next month - I've got 9250 on the clock. All previous were Pilots - to match the still original front.

I consider myself an aggressive driver and I get about 6500 out of my PP. I don't do track days so that gives them a little more life. But you guys that get 3200, You must be doing burn outs.
