It was just announced today that contingents from Australia and New Zealand have arrived in Washington State and Oregon to help control wildfires. Pacific Northwest firefighters have indicated that these units work very will with their North American counterparts, and their quality and experience is excellent.

Here's to our friends from Down Under, helping to keep our rides green! Be sure to try some of our local micro-brew beer while you're here and don't be a stranger.

If I recall you guys where over here when we had the massive fires along the east coast. Even lent us the use of your massive sky dumpers " Elvis"

It is handy that our seasons overlap and we can use you capability on your downside and visa versa.

I grew up on the coast and the rural fire service has the same level of involvement in and by the cummunity as the surf club. Not as glamourus as the fire brigade ... but just as professional and they get the job done with the same great attitude
