Alright... this weekend I went on a 13 hour twistie run around Mt Ranier and Mt St Helens, about 4 hours in my a$$ felt like... well you know what it felt like, all of us have been there. So I figured this was a good time to ask all of you who have upgraded seats what the consensus was seeing as you have had them for awhile now so they should be getting close to breaking in point.

I love the looks of both Sargent and Corbin (Sargent a little better)
But, Looks are not enough to take the plunge.

Hmm... these have been well hashed out in two main threads. All you need to know is in 'em.

CORBIN THREAD

SARGENT THREAD

I am quite happy with my Sargent. It's a pretty radical departure from stock, design-wise, and that doesn't sit well with some folks, but it's okay by me. You'll note from the above that a lot of people don't like the fit of the Sargent, saying it leaves a gap by the side panels. On my bike, the gap is there with the stock seat too, and unless they're lookin' for it, nobody's gonna notice. It drives other folks nuts.

Both companies offer customization and money back if not satisfied, so try 'em and see what suits ya.

Here's mine, low angle so you can see The Gap. I have photos of the stocker too - it also exhibits the same Gap:

I am a Sargent fan,

I have had a Corbin on another bike and like this one better. As far as the gap issue goes it is no different from my stock seat. Here are pics of mine I ordered with a different look to the cover. I think it looks great and is very comfortable. I do not have the cowl but the screws were included with the seat and can be installed in minutes. It is for sale because the bike is also for sale. Very fair price $300 including shipping.

PM or email me rbtwbbr3044@msn.com if interested.

Have had the Sargent for about 3 weeks... no issues with gaps and or fitment issues. My opinion is that it's a great seat, well made and has made riding over 2 hours enjoyable.

Hey RbtWbbr... I might be interested. How much was it to start and why are you selling the triple?

Just got a Sargent and have put a couple of 600mi days on it.. While it's not as comfy as the Goldwing, it's not bad!! the seat supports all the right places and there's no hot spots..
Had the Triumph gel seat before that and it was OK, but too flat and caused hot spots after 200mi or so..
