Well...after totalling my 01 Sprint ST in February, I am finally back on a bike. A nice brand new RED Speed 3! I got a new pair of Alpine Star SMX3 boots and I am having trouble getting the shift lever adjusted correctly. The two positions it works OK on...the lower one is too low... and one tooth up and it's too high. Is there some sort of other adjustable lever or maybe just the toe piece with an eccentric adjustment?? Ideally...exactly in between the current two positions would be perfect. Any ideas??? Thanks!

John

I had a similar problem with my 03 Speed 3 since I bought a set of Alpinestar Touring boots and I had to adjust the lever a few clicks up. Another option you may try is a set of Lockhart Phillips Adjustable pegs. They manufacture a set you can rotate up or down but you will have to modify a set for a ZX-7 Kawasaki since they have yet to manufacture a set for a Triumph. There was another member who put a set on a Daytona with great results. Hope this helps

Of course you could always spend $500 and buy the adjustable rear set from SkyKing (ouch!)

Maybe *you* will adjust??? Could you maybe try different boots? Anyways, congratulations on buying the world's best bike and in the best color, too. (Am I a little biased or what?). :-D

You wouldn't really need fully adjustable rearsets but if you could find an aftermarket set that used a linkage that'd be ideal, provided the linkage offered some adjustment. Might try SpieglerUSA.

Try www.n-w-s.com they do an adjustable lever. The "toe peg" itself moves, rather than the lever itself. Worked for me.
