Hey Victor, welcome. you must be the baddest man in your town with the S3.
Your English is much better than my Serbian will ever be.
When you start your bike do you move the throttle?
I have not had any problems starting my S3 but I have only .2000km and good fuel.
Other people have said not to move throttle when starting.

Good luck

It is not problem with batery. I tried to find sparks, to change and put new, but tomorow is day for chahging sparks. Now i just can start my bike early morning. Or like after few minutes after driveing. If I tried after driving like 10 minutes or more, I can.t at all! can i see somwhere some pictures or sheme how I can changing my sparks? Some gay told me that maybe is problem with starter, because I hear some "metal" sound when I'am trying to start my litle baby. here everybody tolking about Japanese motorcycling never has problem like Italian, or English. But I don;t like japanise. I will fait with my destiny, I know that my S3 is the most beutiful bike in town. And I love it so much! But i don't have lacky.

You could also try the "Ten Minute Tune" trick. Start up the bike and ride it up to operating temperature. Then let it idle for 10 - 15 minutes without touching anything.(...)
This has worked for me on one occasion. Even noticed the engine "smoother".

someone could probably take some pics or point it out in the manual but neither the service manual or owners manual tell you how to do this (because they are both pieces of sh!t).

do u have the service manual?

if so, you can:
1) follow the steps for tank removal
2) follow the steps for airbox removal (under tank)
3) you'll see 3 plugs which you can pull out and then remove the spark plugs

note, the service manual skips steps in this process so be warned.

this is all very high level. but i'm at work currently and can't give much more. can post details later if needed.

Can somebady explain to me when I start my bike and ride to operating temperature what doing after that? Let my bike in with working engine like 10 to 15 minutes or first switch off my engine? I sou[pose with working engine, but first i like to ask. here i can find only NGK sparks. May somebady help me how to remove air filter? Some pictures or shemes please.

I'm having the same exact problem with my bike with only 1700 miles on the clock. It's very embarassing at bike night or leaving out of a store and a crowd is gathered around and you're clicking the starter every 10 secs. The dealer in Jax fl is rarely helpful so i haven't bothered callling or taking it in as of yet. They still claim to haven't heard anything about the brake issues that everyone is having. At 1700 miles on anything there shouldn't be any problems and it becomes frustrating because when you wanna go you should be able to go.

I have the same problem. Triumph states that "blipping" the throttle during hard startups can throw off your TPS (throttle position sensor) Mine was off by .8 volts so they fixed it. Cold starts are fine now however after about 5 min when its hot, she won't start for about 45 min to an hour and a half. I tried mixing race fuel with my gas because the valleys gas is TERRIBLE. This fixed the "burbling" of my pipes during decel but it didn't fix the hard start up. I now think it may be my pickup coil. I don't think shes getting a strong enough magnet signal when she's hot because the clearance gets too big. This whould explain why she starts fine when cold, but doesn't start when hot. I've seen this problem on older quads and older cruisers and I've already tried changing my spark plugs, air filter....so I hope this works.

i blipped the throttle in the past but no longer do. might have to have the tps checked....or figure out how to check it myself? will check service manual on that one.

mine doesn't start hot but if i leave for a few it seems to? certainly not 45-1.5 hours? that is f'd!!!!! how do u deal w/that and why is the dealer not fixing it. maaaaaaaaaaan. i hope mine doesn't get that bad.

keep us posted on what u find...

viktorbgd et.al.:

The hard start problem appears to be quite common. I have a 2005 S3 and this issue has almost brought me to tears. I read a post with a solution that acutally has worked very well for me. The problem is that you are trying to start the S3 before the computer can register the ambient conditions (temperature, air pressure, etc). What you must do is turn the ignition on; then wait (put on your helmet, gloves etc) at least 45 to 60 seconds before trying to start. This period of time insures the computer will register all conditions. You might be able to start in less than 60 seconds but I have found that amount of time works best. Be sure to hold the start button untill the engine fires up. When doing this I am now successful 8 out of 10 times.

Let us know how it works for you.
