I just installed the Leo Vince SBK's, with the new mid pipe. They look and sound outstanding. One thing I noticed is the backfire upon deceleration. As you can see I am a newbie, so I am at your mercy for info. I am assuming the TORS is Triumph's off-road mapping for the fuel injection, will this cure my backfire, or will the Tuneboy be a better solution?

Leo Vince / Power Commander post

You'll also want to block off your SAI to kill the popping on decel. Just plug it inside the airbox.

I've got THE map for Leo Vince's, and would be glad to share it with you when you install your Power Commander.

Thanks for the info, where exactly is the the SAI in the airbox I plan on installing a K&N while I am in there. What do you think is better the Power Commander or the Tuneboy, it looks like you can do more with the Tuneboy like diagnostics?

Now I see where Jon at Leo Vince USA got the pictures he sent me, nice bike, I received the aluminum cans and removed the decals, i just have the embossed emblem on the tail cap.

When you take the top off of the airbox, you'll notice a hole at the very front of it...you'll be able to follow the hoses on the outside where it goes down onto the head. You can use line plugs that you can pick up at the auto parts store, or a really strong 3M adhesive to cover it up.

Unless you have access to a custom tuner, I'd recommend against the K&N at this time until there are appropriate maps available. It will require different mapping with an aftermarket air filter.

Tuneboy offers just a couple of items that Power Commander doesn't, and that's really only relative if you're an advanced user. If you want a great map for the Power Commander, I've got it. I won't make it available though if it's going into a Tuneboy. If you read my "dyno results" post, you'll see that it's quite different than the map available on Dynojet's website.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the info for the SAI hole.

So is the K&N not necessary or there is just not a tune for it? If there is not than I will wait.

Thanks for the info I guess I will go with the power commander, becasue you have already done all the work on the tune with the LEO VINCE's. I went to your post and read all the info you did on the dyno session and it sounded like a lot of work, but the results where worth it.

Yes. Until proper testing and tuning has been done, there's no way to establish whether or not it is necessary (produces power). There is no tune for it at this point, and different air filters typically require new mapping...at least if you want your bike to be as close to "perfect tune" as it can be.

Considering a PC, Has it helped with starting?
Seems some of us have starting problems, And some not.
I am one with starting problems - ( 10 to 15 revs ) - I consider this a problem.

Maybe I should have never owned a Jap bike :kck: Push the button... it starts

I love this bike!, I hate the way it starts! You never really know if its actually gonna start!
The brakes, I can live with.

Totally embarrasing if you want to start for people and show how Badazz it sounds with the TOR's.... As it coughs its way into a start... I have the latest map and all new plugs.

Going mid week to look at an Augusta Brutale.

I would totally keep the Speed Triple if it wasn't a PITA to start.

Hmmm, I've never had a problem with starting. It sounds like a trip to your dealer maybe necessary.

If my speedy does not start by the time I count to 2, I stop and give it a second or two then press the start button and away she goes, no throttle.
