Anyone replaced their headlamps with different ones, like Cibie, Marchal, etc. I was obsessive about light on my last bike, and so I am curious if there are upgrades that work better than stock (not just bulbs, but the lamp.)

Thanks

I would like to see this as well. I was thinking about the LSL single conversion, but have been looking at alternate dual setups as well.

The stock duals are alright, but not quite right IMO...

Stock looks best. Maybe a HID conversion with the stock setup?
I've got Philips Blue Vision bulbs in mine and happy with performance.

Stock does look great. I prefer a headlight or lights that mount directly to the fork. The LSL single conversion kit has been ordered. I'll post some pics when fitted.

Me confused. Those with a single lamp pull it off and fit twins.
Here we're going in the oppo.
Dazed and Confused....

Yeah, well, I'm just wondering about replacing the lamps, not the casing. They would still look the same, but with different bezels, with a better light distribution. I have noticed that the stock lamps, when properly aimed, put a lot of light low, maybe thirty feet in front. I wonder why that is, and how much better something like a Cibie might get that light forward more.

Well, I bought a pair of Hellas. Much improved from stock, but I am still committed to a pair of Cibie's if I can figure out which pair to buy.
