Any guys in Oz know where the best place to buy tyres is? Mine are trashed and I'm going to get a pair or Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's having read CB's thread and the review. Queensland prefrably but mail order is fine.

I can't help you with a place to buy in Australia, but I can say this...you're gonna love 'em!

Try the Metzeler Sportec M3. You will love them. Nothing against Conti's.

Speed 3 - or anyone else who's ridden on M3s

How are the Metzler M3s? How do they compare to the Pilot Powers? (if you've ridden those) or any other comprable tires? Curious about Heat up time, stickyness, slideability or stick like glue, mileage, etc.
Thanks

I had to get the M3's after two sets of M1's, which were a great tire. The only issue I had was that they only lasted 3500 miles. The M3's are sposed to last 25% longer. To be determined... I have ridden some high speed mileage up in VT, and local blasts, and I love these tires! But you won't know if you're going to like them unless you try them yourself. Definitely a subjective issue.

Don't get me wrong about the Michelin's. I've ridden them in both the dry and the wet at the Kevin Schwantz school at Road Atlanta, and thought they were great tires.

The Pirelli's are just a tire that takes it to a whole new level. The better the rider you are, the more you will appreciate them.

Cheers!

I did not like the profile of the front tire on the Michelins, and they cupped badly very fast. The tires are a bit odd circumference wise as well. I decided to go with the M3's. Love them so far. Great in the wet, super sticky, nary a wiggle if pushed. I'll do them again. Mine are fairly new, about 1500 miles... so far they look great as far as wear goes. But then, I got 4500 out of my Pilots with pretty much even wear all the way across the tire.

I just put my third set of Pilot Powers on today. I think they are the best tyres I have ever used. They suit my riding style....whatever that is.
