Found this in the supersport forum and thought I would share with my S3 bretheren! :-D Purchase a rear(180 or 190) and get your front tire for free(kind of, they charge ya $25 for shipping, but still a steal!). Is this considered technical information??? :-D If so, what have I done!?! :hammer:

Pirelli deal!

CB,

If anybody could find this deal, it would be you!

I have a set of these I installed last week.

All I can say is this...there's no other tire like it on the market. The Diablo Corsa was the highest performing "street/track tire" out there for the past couple of years...now it has just gotten better.

It's a dual compound on the rear. The center is the same compound as the previous Diablo Corsa, with newer (softer) on the shoulders. Additionally, the carcass has changed a bit, and it has more flex in the sidewalls.

Here's the amazing part...these are STREET tires, but they are the tire being used by the World Supersport series. Generally speaking, you couldn't take a tire that you would race at that level, and ride with it on the street.

There are a lot of very good tires on the market today, but if you're looking for a step above, the Diablo Corsa III's are IT!

If you look close at the rear tire, you can see the line where the two compounds meet. I hilighted it in white...just follow the line straight up and you'll see it. You will only notice this when they're brand new and before scrubbing them in.

These also heat up very fast, regardless of outside temperatures, and are designed to work well in both the wet and dry. I've seen guys quickly land on their heads on other brands of "soft" tires that weren't properly heated up, but that's not the case with Pirelli (or Metzeler...same company).

These models are made on their MIRS system, which is basically a robotic process that takes all of the hand-work out of it. If you've ever seen how a tire is made, you would appreciate this new process. It also ensures a more precise balance.

Best tire by a mile.. I never liked the steering feeling of Pilot's and it was very slippery when cold.. not like you guys in US would suffer from cold tires. :hammer:

I can't seem to find anyplace online that sells a Corsa III. Or is that just the new model, and I order a Corsa from anywhere?
