One question though to you guys. If the radiator is leaking, can I drive the bike to the shop?

Voihan vittu.. eipä sitä iloa kauaa kestänyt.
Very expensive lessons you are taking, eventhou now lesson learned. More likely cooling fluid has come out from the excess pipe. Cant see radiator taking a hit on that kind of drop, because your handlebar and engine casing has took off the weight of the bike. Bad luck, once again, but some might call it learning to drive a beast. Vakuutukseen vai ite korjaat?
Take care buddy, if you need any help send me pm

I need to take another look at the radiator. I really hope it's not broken, because my guess is that it ain't cheap. I go to the shop today and ask what the parts and work cost. I propably just buy the parts and replace them myself.
I'll leave the front brake lever as it is, because I'll propably get some Pazzos at some point. The engine cover I leave be or paint it myself.
Is the right footpeg assy steel or aluminium? I mean it could be easilly welded back together if it's steel.

Oh yeah and thanks for the sympathy, guys
I want to fix the bike myself as much as possible because that the fastest way to get it back on the street. There's like 1,5months of riding season left so I don't want to keep it standing around at the shop.

That's a real bummer. With about 10 miles on the S3 I almost dumped it at a similar speed with my daughter on back. I was able to keep jumping my foot forward to keep it up, but I was afraid it was going down.
I have sliders on order. Is Skyking usually slow in delivering orders?

Yeah it sucks when that happens - haven't dropped speedy, but did drop ZX10 last year on petrol station forecourt in France - (raining hard, middle of night, tired and lost!!) - pulled up to check map, kicked stand down, stepped off bike and watched as stand slid into drainage grating - result was broken footpeg and scratch on tail unit - R and G frame sliders took 95% of impact - could have been much worse....

To find if metal is steel or aluminum just touch it with a magnet, it wont stick to the aluminum part.
Another magnet tip: Buying a used vehicle and suspect it might of had body damage? Use a light weight magnet to test for body filler material, if it's been used the magnet wont stick to the body of the vehicle.

Ah. Good idea
I just took the bike to the shop. They'll estimate the repair costs and call me. If I put it on the insurance they'll replace all damaged parts of course. If I pay it myself I'll just replace the parts that absolutely need to be replaced and do it myself.
I asked the mechanic about the footpeg. He said it's aluminium so no can weld.
