Shut up and let's ride: Bay Area/Sacto edition

I see lots of members of this form live in or near the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento. Since cheapo is organizing a ride on the east coast in the latter half of September, I think we should have a west coast ride the same day. We can compare pictures after the ride and see whether the east-coasters or the west-coasters are cooler.

I have a north bay route in mind that includes about 200-250 miles of lightly travelled and lightly enforced windy back roads and only 12 miles of freeway (excluding riding time to/from the route). I did this ride by myself last weekend and it's beautiful, with some of the best tight twisties and some of the best medium-speed sweepers in California! I'll provide detailed maps to all the participants, but we'd start in Fairfield, so it's as easy to come from Sacramento as it is from the Bay Area.

Who's in and what day(s) do you prefer? I can ride any of the last three weekends in September: 16/17, 23/24, or 30/1.

Sounds to me like you're planning to drive to Vacaville then up Pleasants Valley Road towards Lake Berryessa..

Not quite. We'll go up Suisun Valley Rd towards Lake Berryessa, then Wooden Valley Rd, 121, Capell Valley Rd, Sage Canyon Rd, Chiles Pope Valley Rd, Pope Valley Rd, Butts Canyon Rd to Middletown, then over 175 to Hopland and on to Ukiah, Boonville, Cloverdale, and maybe (depending on everyone's mood) a couple other nice stretches of road on the way back south. Great roads! :-D

I think I may have passed you last Sunday Curmudgeon - it was just a quick glimpse but was pretty sure it was a white 'Triple
Mine is red, older model T509. I was going North while you (if that was you!) were going opposite.
I have a Suomy 'Dragon' helmet which pretty much stands out ..

will this be the same ride we did a while back, if so i'm in for sure. if not i'm in for sure.
i'll get back from belize by that time as well. (are you doing the rat raid in tahoe over aug 26?)
