Okay, so everyone is doing the gsxr1000 after much inspiration from our mechanical guru kuhlka. But what about the rear end, any such excellent conversions??

I got a Penske shock and I'm very happy with it. The ride is less harsh and better controlled.

What model Penske shock? Does it have a ride-height adjuster? Where to buy?

Thanks!

I got the 8983, which replaced the 8981 earlier this year. It has a ride height adjuster. You can buy directly from Penske or from a Penske dealer. Either way, I'd call Penske to discuss what you want as they custom-build each shock according to the rider's weight and the type of ride he's looking for (I wanted compliance).
