Like a fellon! Couldnt resist..... sorry...

anyone replace the stock grips with GEL? what brand? any issues? dealer told me pro grip GEL might not fit correctly, something about teeth on the throttle assembly that would cause air to create gaps on the grip or something to that effect... Anyone..... Beuller....?

The buddy I ride with has a Guzzi V11 Sport that'll vibrate the fillings out of your teeth... He got a pair of gel filled gloves and he says they've done the trick...

Actually, I don't want grips due to vibration, but I'd like some for more size-comfort. My hands are large and get cramped holding on to these stock grips. Has anybody replaced their grips with something a big more robust? Should I be looking at cruiser style grips (7/8, right?)?

My hands fit the bars the same way. I got a pair of gel grips and cut off the flange and slid them over the stock grips. It works great but i only recommend this to those riders who have a paw versus a hand.

How hard was that to do? did you use glue?

actually used dawn dish detergent. then heated up the grips so it would harden. been holding strong for a 13 months.

Get some ProGrip gel grips (about $10) cut the old ones off, give the new ones a good squirt of hairspray and slide 'em on. Allow time for the hairspray to dry. I don't think I even removed the bar ends on the S3 to get the new ones on (as they are same diameter as the bar).

I didn't actually get the gel ones for the Trip (just regular ProGrips, great feel) but had them on my Sprint RS...work fine.
