Got a phone call today from Jax plant and they are going to make me another seat with the seam rolled down some so my legs are not sitting right on it and and a better fitting front end-so it meets the tank close and not with a large gap. Cant wait-hope it come true!! Will report when I get it.

I just got back from the Sargent Plant in Jax. As soon as I got home I put the seat on my S3 but feel like the front doesn't fit quite right. I'm considering calling them tomorrow to see if what they will do. Did they ever call you back? Thanks, Carlos

Hi all,

I love the look of the Sarent over the Corbin. I had this seat custom tweaked by Sargent. I did not like the "piping" or "welt" or what ever it is called so I had it deleted.

I also had the "boxing" around the passenger seat changed. I also had them delete the cowl screws because I do not run one, but I have them and they only take 15 mins to install if needed.

By the way bike and seat are for sale. SEE CLASSIFIEDS.

Seams look better but it's still a ***** fit though - looks like they have a bunch of 2 year olds making them. Might be tempted if it was free but pay for something like that :-D even I'm not 'THAT' stupid.

Gnome,

Fair enough. "To each his own". I like the way it looks and love the feel when riding. To me that is the most important. I do not know what the fuss is about, the stock seat is no looker and does not fit any better in MHO. I also do not like the looks of the Corbin. I had one on an FZ1 and never came to terms with the feel. I did like the looks of it though even with the back rest for the passenger.

Had Triumph done their job properly we would not have to go to the aftermarket for a replacement, but the stock seat just absolutly sucks with that stupid slope that it has in it.

Peace.
