I got some time off from work, so I figured I'd put off doing stuff I should be doing (like taking a chainsaw to the mass of jungle growth formerly known as my yard) and do stupid stuff instead, like tinkering with a perfectly good motorcycle.

First up, rim stripes. I thought about goin' with gold or red, but I put the red ones on the BMW (black, silver, and red wheel stripes - it looks vaguely reminiscent of the Batmobile), so I put the blues on the Triple. I got the reflective ones on accounta since I pulled the reflectors off the tail and forks, I figure I oughta have somethin' that'd show up in the headlights right before I git squished.

Here's a set of with- and without-flash pitchers so's you git the idear. The blue's actually pretty dark, even darker than the non-flash picture shows, on accounta it picked up some ambient light.

Next up, I might just paint the radiator shrouds, since the paint on the exhaust shields is holdin' up quite nicely well past its estimated 17-day lifespan :-D

Looks great R100! I've been looking into rim stripes as well... Which ones/brand are they?

How easy to install?

Also, I'm curious to hear how they hold up after a bit of riding and washing...

I didn't know they had reflective ones; that will make it easier to take off mine as well. Where did you get them?

There's one option. I'm thinking of getting the yellow ones for my triple. Reflective yellow on puke gold should look wicked! And it gets really dark here in the autumn so it's a matter of safety too. I wan't to be seen. One of the reasons I bought the yeller

Same place everyone's gettin' 'em:

TAPE WORKS

For $20 I figured it was worth a shot. And you get five stripes in a pack, so if ya fark it up the first time, ya got a spare.

Being attracted to spakly things, I was tempted by the "Bass boat metal flake." Also, they make a black reflective, which I think would be pretty cool.

Nice R100, I didn't think a guitar player would have steady enough hands for a job like that, did you call Tracker to put them on for ya? I'm sure his 90 yr. old hands are steadier than yours! :-D

Speaking of the Batmobile. I have been getting alot of batman references lately when people look at my front black windscreen. I just got the darn thing a month ago to hide the instrument panel now all i can think about is the bat bike. I might need to look of other aftermarket windscreens like the one on deprottomoto.com

Don't be silly, I have one on my bike i think they look great. Don't let others cause you to spend money that's not necessary. Its your bike - and your personal look.
