Not so very long.
1 year and almost a month with almost 13000km (8000m) in that period.

Since 1997 or so on the street. First bike was an '88 883 Sportster, then an 85 superglide, rode dad's Valkyrie, 01 superglide, SV1000, and a bunch of others before settling on the Speed Triple as THE bike.

I've been riding off and on since I was 4 on a 50cc Indian. So thats probably around 21 years riding.

Hmmm, looks like 17 for me.

I started on the streets at 17 on a very used/abused 1977 Yamaha 750 special and then purchased a pristine 77 Low Rider which I still have. I built the 02 rigid because I wanted a toy, looks great, chicks dig it, goes like he11 in straight lines, but not much for commuting/comfort.

Now, at 34, I am waiting for the dealer to call so I can pick up the new Speed Triple.....and waiting and waiting. Actually they sent for it from the warehouse just last Friday but it seems like a month ago.

My friends are completely baffled by this purchase, the consider me the 'dyed in the wool' HD guy. I have just decided I want something really fun and I absolutely refuse to give a dime to HD and their price gouging dealers.

Wow, 17 yrs sure went by quick.......

17 it comes, Since I was 13, back in 1989. have had 7 50cc bikes, 3 different 125cc's. and RD350LC
motorcycles; GSX750E and EF , GSXR750W, ZXR750RR, GSXR1000 and latest S3

Apparently not done very good job on riding so far, due to fact that I am sitting on a wheelchair at the mo :hammer:

Just over 2 months. :-D

Started riding dirt bikes on an Indian 50 (like Kuhlka) at age 8. Ended that with a broken neck at age 32 in 2002. Would have continued to ride dirt bikes if not for my kids.

All my buddies sold their bikes after my accident and went out and bought Harleys and Big Dogs. I waited a bit and, after suffering through having to listen to all of their buyer's remorse sob stories, decided on a something with a bit of performance. :-D :-D

I got my first street bike 20 years ago at age 18. With the exception of a four year period when I lived in Chicago---where the roads suck and riding is ***** near pointless---I've been riding ever since.
