17T countershaft sprocket on 2006 S3

I just bought a new front sprocket for the 06 Speed Triple from JT Sprockets. I haven't put it on yet, but the guy at the distributor said to hold on tight once I change it. Does anyone here have any experience with a new smaller front sprocket? Please give me your input. Thanks

This is a popular modification. The only drawbacks are wear on the plastic gaurd on top of the swingarm and more speedometer inaccuracy.

All you need is a speedohealer or Tuneboy to fix the speedometer being off. On the earlier bikes with front wheel driven speedos it wasn't a problem.
