well, i just got back from an ok ride and noticed a problem. this just started today.... from closed to about 1/4 throttle it bucks and and falls on it's face.... after that it will go like crazy like it normally does. it caught me off guard and i about wrecked the thing coming off a slow corner. i checked the tank for a vapor lock but it was okay. where do i look next?? dealer closed already today. IDEAS :???:
i also checked the vent lines on the tank for kinks or plugs...nada
i don't know...it looks like nobody wants to touch this one

ok, i did a little research. i rode bike yesterday, it was about 100 degrees outside and humid as he\\. i found in another thread that by allowing the motor to idle for about 10-15 minutes it will auto reset running parameters. could this be why it runs so bad today... it was about 82degrees and very little humidity. i did not let the bike idle for more than a few minutes at a time. so is it possible that the ecu still thinks 100 degrees or should it have already compensated for the weather changes????? :???:

It sounds to me like you have bigger issues than the old "Ten Minute Tune" can fix. It's still worth a try because it's free and easy, but I think you're due for a trip to the dealership.

The list of things it could be is long, so I won't even open up that can of worms.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Have you checked to see if you have tank suck?

Also sounds like a vapor lock... Tough call. Dealer time sounds like.
