Just curious Wash your bike or out in the rain? I think water settles in the spark plug wells as this same thing happened to me went to check plugs and the bottom of the coil pack was wet. Just shot some compressed air dried it out and ran great. I would be concerned if there is oil or antifreeze in the spark plug wells.

I've recently had a slight misfire on my bike too.. It only tends to come into play at below 3000rpm and tends to be worse if the bike has got up to running temperature and then has been stood for 10-15 mins. Only does it a couple of times but it can be a bit scary on roundabouts!

My bike's been stood for most of the winter and the battery ran itself down but is now fully charged and OK. I've read that it's worth allowing the bike to idle for 10 mins or so to reset the engine management system.. Anyone know if this is any good? I'm guessing mine has a little bit of water in a sparkplug hole as i had a similar problem with a Kawasaki ZRX i used to have. The tank on that was just at the right angle to allow water to drip straight onto the top of the right hand spark plug when the bike was on it's stand...

I'm going to whip the tank off this weekend and take a look at the plugs.

Unexpected spark plug problems cause a "missfire" sensation in my 04 S3.

Water in fuel due to blocked drain hole inside filler cap is another thing to look for.
Good luck

Hey guys.

Had my -04 Trippy for a couple of weeks now, and this problem started occuring to me as well after just about a week.

If running at sub-3000rpm, and giving it more gas than just a very gentle increase, it will stutter and misfire. Sometimes it will do the same when idling and giving gas.

It was more of an intermittent problem earlier, but now it is getting more and more common.

I'm suspecting water at the plugs, will have to remove and check.
