Ok, so after my weekend in Colorado mountains, my baby was as dirty as a truck drivers mouth......So, I took off everything, rearsets, hugger, front mudguard, rad grilles, chain guard......etc. I even took off my pipes, and this is where my problem starts. I love my Trident half system, it sounds fookin great, it makes a difference in HP, it looks sweet. But.....without them on, it looks so clean, the lines are tidy and sharp with MD tail kit on it, it has that really hard as nails bee stinger real stret fighteresque look to it. Now the thought has entered my mind to sell the Trident, and go with Zard, because it has the single side pipe, and keeps those clean sharp looks I like.
Help me, somebody help me, tell me what you think guys. Should I or shouldn't I?

Hey Satansk9,

You're got to decide what you want, b u g g e r what anybody else thinks.

But since you asked my opinion, I'll give it.
Your bike looks great with the wolf system. I think this bike looks best with the high mount pipes on each side, it was designed to look this way. While the zard or shark pipes have a certain appeal, the bike looks unfinished with them on, especially on the left side.

I mean no offense to those who have the Zard (or any other single pipe system), what is stated above is just my preference.

It's good that we don't all like the same thing.

My opinion will be of no use to you at all, because i agree with Legman that the bike does look good with the twin pipes, but i also like the Zard.I am currently working on a right exit sort of zard thingy,a left exit high mount, and a gsxr short stumpy thingy.I think the left exit might look out of place, dunno.Guess it's up to you.

Ps:I can't fn decide,think i'll go and get drunk,it's been a long week. :hammer:

Confusing ain't it?

I went through the same dilemma with the TORS.

Personally though I'm only 99% happy with the LOOKS of the Zard, I think the bike has a more street fighter look without the twin cans.

Plus you get nice looking headers and a few kilos saved and a lighter wallet too.

Dunno what the Tridents sound like but the Zard without the baffle sounds 'proper'.

My opinion - the Zard system looks very cool. I love it. The trouble is this, if I bought it I'd HAVE to cut the exhaust mounts off the subframe. They look silly if there and not used. I'm not prepared to cut my subframe (yet) so thats out.... But I'm getting the system in Limeys thread :-D

"...more than happy to pay the shipping"? Granted, I don't know you that well CB but jeez...this just doesn't sound right. Maybe we should pass the hat around and see if we can cover the shipping costs for you...does that sound better? Wouldn't want you to compromise your principles...
