I'm sure this has been covered, but I can't find it with the search function:

What's the possibility that the Tokico radial mount calipers from a GSXR are a direct swap for the Nissins on the 1050 S3? You can find a bunch of examples on ebay for $100 or less. If they'll fit, I'll do the swap in a heartbeat.

I think the 05-06 are a straight swap, but someone will tell ya for certain.

I hope so. If they are, I'll be forever indebted to all the squidly GSXR riding stuntaz that are willing to sacrifice perfectly wonderful machines to keep me in cheap spare parts.

I can go out to the garage and measure the center-to-center distance for the bolts if you guys do the same for the 05+ S3. I'll also measure from the center of the bolt to the center of the rotor between the pads to see if that offset is the same too...

Keep in mind you'll want the 3/4 radial master cylinder as well if you do the swap.

You haven't been "shadowing" my latest activites have you? (J/K)That is exactly what I've been doing on ebay the last few days, I was just beaten out in a bid for a set of '06 K6 front brake calipers, pads, master cylinder, hose, lever, etc just last night.

I personally am not certain about the direct swap, a friend of mine hasnt come through in finding me a set so I went to ebay and gave it a shot. Have been kind of casual about it though otherwise I'm sure I would have had a set already. If the calipers wont swap out, I'm not against getting k6 forks and the calipers and hardware to make this work.

I really think Triumph needs to come through with this brake issue..

Ok, off-the-cuff measuring using a standard ruler (can't find the metric or my father's digital calipers)...

Just under ~4 & 1/4" center-to-center on the caliper mounting bolts.

Somewhere around 7/8-1" from the center of the bolt to the center of the rotor.

If I can find some better measuring tools I'll get a more exact measurement. You might try digging up a tech spec data sheet on the GSXR front end to see if anyone has diagrams with all the measurements.

Did it weeks ago. Works great, just need them from a 05-06 GSXR 1000 and longer brake lines.

Thanks again guys. I measured the same way since I don't own anything better. I got almost exactly 4 1/4" center to center and somewhere around 7/8 - 15/16 for the offset. Looks like I'm off to ebay for some new brake hardware.

Corse, why the change on the brake lines? Is the banjo location that far different between the two?
