So the bike is popping & banging a wee bit on the overrrun below 3500rpm (Glorious soul stirring music above).
Off goes an email to Wayne for a solution. Back comes a reply, pull out the laptop, modify the tune, and pop it into the bike. Do a test drive, no pops, no bangs.
All in less than 30 minutes.
Beat that Power Commander!

Has the bike been running cooler since you installed the TuneBoy by any chance?

Thtat's the one thing that bothers me about my bike- that fan coming on all the time. I had to have it replaced already because it siezed last summer.

Fan comes on same as before. Stop/slow will have it running. This is normal for THIS bike. However sick fan=overheating when slow/stopped.

The cooling system of the S3 runs at 1.2 bar which is quite a bit more than your average .9 bar.

What this basically means is that Triumph can get away with a smaller rad running at higher temps, 'cause water, coolant whatever, boils at a higher temp when under pressure.
Whilst at the moment this is not really a problem, and the rad size is able to cope, with frequent fan assist when slow/stopped, my feeling is that as the bike gets older and fur starts building up inside the coolant passages, block, and radiator, also exposed to road filth, the cooling efficiency will deteriorate and overheating may be a serious problem in the future.
Keep your rad grilles clean or the thing may boil over.

Whoever's gonna keep th ebike long term should start lookin' for a larger/thicker rad.

Yes Wayne sent me a non SAI tune some time ago, since I had decided that I'd gut the stuff out.
Plugged up the SAI inlet and all ok except for a few pops and burbles below 3000rpm on the overrun.

So today decided to get rid of this nuisance. Wayne suggested I trim out the fuelling adding 10% at 0 TPS in the rpm range where I was getting the popping. Done! Gone! Banished!.....................hehehehe!

Hmm, did the same thing with Power Commander, and the entire process took about 3 minutes...but then again, I already knew what the fix was...just needed to install it.

That was before installing the aftermarket exhausts...was running stock pipe with appropriate map.

After that I plugged the SAI, and mapped it to go with the Leo Vince.
