Got 2 broken ribs and a mild concussion at the last track day. I am doing great and got my Speed Triple back last thursday.
7 weeks ago while at racing school towards the end of the day, I was very tired and exceeded my skill level on the last run of the day on turn 3, I missed the braking point, bummer! It really hurt.
Bike is ok, some minor cosmetic damage, the frame sliders saved it, I am ok, and I am heading back to the trak soon. Lesson learned is when that little voice in your head says you are too tired it is time to pack up and go home. I will listen to it next time for sure!!!

That is exactly what the Triumph dealer/organizer of my last track day said--for the first few hours you are cautious/nervous, the next few you get into your groove and start to have fun, and the last hour or two you start to push the envelope too much and that is when to call it a day.
Heal up friend.

Glad to hear you're doing okay and gonna git back onnit again.
Track day or not, there are some times when you just don't feel "right." Pack up, or take the car. The time you miss riding is nothin' compared to the time you'd spend healing.

Wow, Tonup, glad you're okay.
Sure seems like a lot of our players on this forum are going down lately. Guys, take care out there.

Cheers Tonup, I hope your recovery is quick.
Good thing you were smart to choose a race track as the place to exceed your limits. It could have been much, much worse if you had been on the road.
Glad you're OK.

That does suck.
Glad you're OK. Take it easy - we do need to get a ride in before the end of the season...

I wish you heal quickly! I've been on the same road as you, fell down on April while riding on the race track and broke two ribs. First major crash in my life, and it hurt my pride as it hurt my ribs, but both things heal well. It will probably take a couple of months more until you feel at 100% again, but it gets better day by day.
By the way, are stars lined up in a weird combination or what? It's been a lot of us who've been down recently. Luckyly enough, most of us where at the race track when we were pushing that hard. As some one else in this forum, I lost the front end while still on the straight line. I was braking from 240 Km/h, though...
Have a prompt recovery, man!
Greetings from Barcelona
David
