Just bought a used Seat Hump for a 2001 S3 but it just doesn't look right.
Not tried it on the bike yet so I might be wrong.

Can someone post a piccie of a correct seat hump and if I send them a piccie of mine, post that on here so if it is not for an S3, then someone might be able to tell me what it is for!!!

Thanks in advance.

Triumph Part No under the seat, on the plastic base, says 2301455.

The way you'll know the difference between an 01 and earlier cowl and 02-04 is there will be four plastic posts sticking out of the bottom of the 01 which rest on the frame and a single plastic tab toward the front which hooks under the crossmember where the seat bolts on and a metal peg at the rear for the lock. (LOOONG run-on sentence, sorry)

On an 02-04 there will be two metal arms which hook under the crossmember on the sides (rather than the middle like the 01), and just the metal rear peg for the lock.

Oh, also, the 01 has several screws which hold the rear cowl on. These are located where your butt meets the cowl. The 02-04 has all the bolts located on the underside of the cowl.

01 doesn't have a rubber butt-stop, both of the 02-04 style do.

That's weird. Mine is as described post/tab, but has no screws at all. It has a locking post, & my ignition key releases it down by the frame.
