Is there an easy fix fo this? The rivets (3) are not tight, and click like crazy under front braking. Any ideas?

Skyler, it's nothing to worry about. The clicking is the rivets, but they're supposed to be a bit loose. If they weren't loose they wouldn't work the way they are supposed to.

The clicking is caused by your pads, if there are any little rough edges on them, they grab the disc ever so slightly and make it click. You'll find the clicking stops when you brake?

I had the same problem, took out the pads, cleaned everything up and champfered (sanded off) a small amount of the leading edges of the pad material (ie, the edges that face the back of the caliper) to a slight (Approx) 30 deg angle. This prevents them getting little frayed edges, also stops squealing brakes on Range Rovers and Jeeps in my experience.

If however the disc rotor's thickness is less than what the manual specs are, then you may need to replace the rotors, but in my case, I champfer all my pads from new, never a problem.

Mick

One rivet on mine has come loose too. The rattle from one drives me nuts and took an age to trace. 3 loose must be a nightmare. There is a small clip on the inside edge which has gone missing allowing the rivet to move freely; the OK ones float on the "spring" but don't rattle.

Try your dealer before you do anything yourself he may be able to help.

Most of mine are loose on both sides. Quite annoying, but the brakes work great. I'm going to bring it in to the dealer when I get back to Anchorage.
