Finally found what I've been searching for on t595.net. Seems an American company has self-sealing metal fittings that'll fit my tank and hoses for cheaper than Great Bay Motorcycles.

"http://www.mcmaster.com/ and search for part numbers 5478K71 and 5478K111. Should be around $40 for all four."

I ordered a pair of connectors for both my fuel tanks (bought a spare fuel pump to make swapping easy and just in case one fails), and a set of male connectors for the hoses. That should fix that stupid DRIP DRIP DRIP every time I take the tank off.

I hope those are the right ones. They are a british pipe thread...... it is very close to US pipe thread but just enough different.

Team Triumph (www.triumph1.com) caries a set for all years:

METAL FUEL FITTING KIT
We know how easy these are to break! Replace those cheap plastic quick connects with these quality chrome plated brass fittings. Kit comes with all 4 fittings, extra Viton o-ring, clamp and instructions

I guess we'll find out when they arrive! The order said they'll ship today so I should have them via ground by the end of the week.

I'll post photos and a review when they're installed.

Yes they will fit. I posted about these fittings before in this thread. It must be the diference in the pipe threads that makes them fit better after wire wheeling the chrome from the threads.
