BOYNTON BEACH — A 17-year-old sustained severe leg injuries early Monday when he crashed his new motorcycle into the shovel of a payloader at a construction site at 2900 S. Federal Highway, police said. Delray Beach police saw the teen speed past them around 1:30 a.m., and became concerned for his safety because of construction on Federal Highway, according to a police report. Officers found the teen wedged underneath the payloader. The teen, who told officers he had just gotten the motorcycle, was taken to Delray Medical Center in serious condition.
