I'm attempting to install my new Arrow exhaust on my 05 and it seems impossible to get the cans to line up properly. Any one with experience want to chime in and give me the secret technique? I have been pulling, bending and pounding on this stupid pile of ***** for the better part of an hour now and the right can is still about 1.5 inches higher than the left!

T,

Make sure the "straps" that hold the cans to the bike are loose, or at least make sure you play with them. if they hold the can too far back or forward they really effect the way they sit. Also, keep the connection from the mid-pipe to the "header" pipe loose. I found that rotating/twisting the mid-pipe at that location made a big difference.

Good Luck!

I fiddle farted around with adjustment for about 1.5 hours and got it "close". I'm very finicky so I know it will probably drive me nuts.

It definitely feels stronger, wheelies easier, and sounds better, a true hooligan now! A lot of popping though, so I may need to try and cover up the air thing in the airbox. Plus, it is still on the stock map, my Power Commander should be here any day!

t,

yeah, with the baffles removed there's pretty wicked popping, sounds cool for a little while, but eventually gets old (as you know). i noticed a bit more low end grunt and seemed to wheelie easier too, but might have been in my head.

glad you were able to get it on somewhat straight. perfection is hard to live with out!
