Hi guys!
First of all, sorry for my english, I try to do my best!
Im having some problems with my speed triple 955i.
When I brake hard in order to carry the bike to a complete stop, or close to a complete stop, like in a traffic light, or a stop, yield.... the bikes suddenly shutdowns!!!, the lights will remain on, but I will have nothing on the display, or even in the rpm indicator, (both lights, red or amber)... so the only way to recover the electrical power on the display, is to recylce the start key, the red button( run//off) will not work!.
I've tried a lot of things, riding without lights, but its the same, testing if braking in neutral, without the clutch, will also make the bike to shutdown....
Its making me crazy!!!
Any ideas??? i need your help!!
ThX!

You're pulling in the clutch lever when stopping, right? As with any other strange electrical situation, check all of your ground connections.

I've tried to brake with and without pulling the clutch. The bike will stop no matter of the clutch position....
Im not very good working on the bike, sometimes Im affraid of doing something wrong.
I guess that checking the ground connections shuoldny be difficult, but......... I dont know were are they, ang how many...
Any clue?

Question: If you are riding down the road and pull in the clutch while letting off the throttle, does it die when it reaches an idle RPM? Even if you haven't stopped or are on the brakes?

Really sounds like a loose plug or ground or something.

Hi check the wires that come from the circuit breaker(red button) on the same side as front brake as what you describe(lights on but no contact lights) looks like you have the circuit breaker off.
Let us know
Cheers

There should be a cluster of black ground cables bolted onto the motor toward the back top side. This area is right under the fuel tank where the fuel lines go into the pump.

Otherwise, it could be something as simple as a loose ground cable on the battery. Check both the connections on the battery. Otherwise, I'd take the bike into the dealer as you should still be on warranty for them to check it out and fix it for you for free.

I've never tried that... but what I've done is reach a moderate speed, 55mph, and set the bike in neutral gear, leave it running and breaking hard, it will also shutdown the engine. ( when its in neutral, its at iddle, so i guess i could be the same )

Thx, for your answer, I will check the circuit braker, and the wires, otherwise.... I will have to go to the dealer to have it checked.

check the kill switch by the front brake. when it is off it will
shut down the display. may have a loose wire in there. Remove
the two screws and check it.

Finally they fouind the problem...
It was a sensor that senses when the bike is crashed or goes to the floor.. so the sensor moved and thats why in was giving false signals....
so now its fixed!
