We chose Franklin cause it is on the crossroads of some great riding - 28 north to Bryson City is almost as good as Deals Gap.
64 East to Cashiers is congested, but beautiful.
There is also a road a little west on 64 from 28 that I pick up heading North called
Wayah, It is a little rough in places, So WFO at your own risk.
Speaking of Deals Gap, I read their daily report and Deals gap is going to be re-paved by then :yayyy:
The last time I rode 28, It was halfway done, Hopefully they did the rest.
