Anybody buy one of these or another similar?:

http://www.deltavdesign.com/catalog/.../triparts.html

I know I could fuss around and make one myself but it isn't worth saving $27 to me.

I bought the one from Skyking. It looks really similar. I just coulnd't get the seat buttoned down to the point where it felt secure. I have to admit that I didn't work all that hard at trying to fix it.

Kuhlka, if I remember correctly you got one too. Do you still use it? Does the seat sit securely?

Thanks for the post. That's what I'm worried about. I guess I'll have to do thumbscrews. Didn't someone have that for sale as well?

The quick release kit doesn't work so well for the 02-04 seat as you've got those two stupid metal brackets that you have to bolt down. The quick clips don't create enough force to hold the seat down tightly, but it does work in a half-assed sort of way.

I'd recommend a butterfly nut or whatever its called and just reverse the bolts so they're screwed in from the bottom. OR, just find or make some bolts with a thumb screw tab on the head so you can just tighten them down by hand.

What I used to do is just keep a ratcheting wrench or one of those mini sockets in my tail tool kit.

IMHO, the T595 tail is much stiffer, has more character visually, and the seat has the bracket built-in so the quick release clips work beautifully.
