No need to worry anything, you cannot get messed with aligment. Just adjust the play of the chain accordingly of your service manual, i.e 3,5 cm

It is all pre-engineered with the handy-dandy cam gizmo. Of course, you need The Tool. You'll find it under the seat. Looks like a really cheap can opener. And if you're lucky, you can loosen the clamp with the really cheap wrench and not have it bend. (Why, oh why, can't anybody but BMW include quality tools with their $10K and up motorcycles?)

Of course, I still had to buy a track stand on accounta even though I cannot afford a Maintenance Facility as nice as Tracker's, I can afford a stand, and it makes lubricating the chain a whole lot simpler.

BMW has pretty much stopped including decent tool kits, too. While my 2005 R1200GS came with a decent tool set, my buddy's 2006 R1200GS didn't come with the tools needed to remove either wheel.

That is the way it starts R100. i have had my 1/2 drive and socket set for 40 years. Keep adding stuff and pretty soon you have a big collection. like digital micrometers and
boroscopes.

Any sort of floor jack, scissor jack, etc. works great under the shoc k linkage for wheel and chain service.

Agreed, this tool kit sucks donkey nuts. My sv650 was 2-3 times better with ease and it's half the price. I added some tools for my road trip over the weekend. Apparently they had to save some money for the front brakes....

:kck:
